Accepted credit

Credit must come from an organization accredited by the ACCME, AMA, Maryland Medical Association, or AAFP. ACGME residency or fellowship time accrues toward the requirement. Teaching or presenting accredited CME can satisfy a portion of required hours.

How many state-level CE hours do Maryland CRNAs need?
Maryland RN CE is 30 contact hours per biennium. CRNAs satisfy this through NBCRNA recertification CE. APRN renewal additionally requires active NBCRNA certification.
Does Maryland require NBCRNA certification for CRNA licensure?
Yes. NBCRNA initial certification is required for APRN/Nurse Anesthetist licensure, and active NBCRNA certification must be maintained for renewal.
